Join us as we celebrate Peoria County’s 200th anniversary with a block party to remember! We’re shutting down Adams and Main Streets for an afternoon packed with fun, food, music, and community spirit. We’ll dedicate the Courthouse Plaza as Peoria County Bicentennial Park and flip the switch on the brand-new Courthouse lighting for the very first time. Don’t miss this historic moment! Plus, loads of food and fun everyone will enjoy: • Live Music & Entertainment: A Civil War-era band with a special appearance from President Abraham Lincoln! High-energy hits from Maggie Speaks to close out the night • Family Fun & Activities: Pop-a-Shot courts and bags “Penny in a Haystack” with prizes Large slide & rock wall Petting zoo • 30+ fiberglass bison on display It’s the first time the herd will be together! • 200th and retro merchandise available for purchase Special Bicentennial logoed items Discover Peoria’s Retro Collection • Food & Drinks Local vendors from across the County Special 200th whiskey cocktail All events and entertainment are free; food and drink available to purchase.
